New Site Launch 2013

It's been a long time coming…

After what seems like an endless back and forth, I'm finally launching the new site!

I've opted for a simple look, with the emphasis on quick page loads and easy to digest content. (Which will might get me to write more blog posts.)

A Bit of Tech

The site is built on Laravel 3 (I might upgrade to 4 in the future, but there's not much benefit at the moment), and has no database (which should help speed it up).

On top of using Sass, I opted to use MVCSS as well, which is a way of laying out your CSS in a similar manner to the MVC architecture.

Also, as you may have noticed, the site loads its content asynchronously, so you technically never leave the page. I did this because I've not played with the History API much, and because it helped speed up the page loads. (I tried to keep the initial page size under 500kb; which I did, just.)

I've also redesigned my docs site to be more inline with this site, so they at least look like they're related now.

Any feedback would be great. If you like the way I've done something, or there's a part you think I should change, let me know in the comments below!
